My love affair with the Portuguese Water Dog began the day we brought home Phoenix at 8 weeks of age!   He's everything we wanted in a dog and more... a typical PWD!   He's calm and cuddly when lounging at home but eager and energetic when it's time for work or play.   He loves (and demands) to be with his family, learns quickly, and is always a gentleman.   As our show dog, Phoenix has excelled!   He achieved his Canadian championship in short order having garnered 9 out of the required 10 points by 9 months of age!   His achievements to date include multiple Best of Breed (including wins over Specials) and Best of Opposite wins, 2 Best Puppy in Group, a Working Group First and 2 Working Group Third placements.   His second showing in the USA at 18 months of age saw him take back-to-back wins of Winners Dog and a Best of Winners 5 point major at the Superstition KC Supported Entry in Arizona (over 40 pwds entered).   He finished 2009 as #5 PWD in Canada.   Phoenix is a lovely moving, nicely balanced boy with flashy Irish markings.  Phoenix has sired some lovely get, including our Tia.
