January, 2011We recently received Jasmin's much anticipated hip x-ray results from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFFA.org) and are sorry to announce that Jasmin did NOT pass her hip evaluation. Although she is very active and healthy and has shown no signs of hip dysplasia, we do not wish to pass on any possible hip problems to her offspring, so she will now be spayed. Unfortunately, this will delay the future possibility of puppies for a while. Aveiro still happily accepts inquiries and we will refer to other Portuguese Water Dog Breeders. Phoenix is still available at stud to approved bitches. |
